The National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management (NFOŚiGW) has opened the call for applications under the program Support for the Purchase or Leasing of Zero-Emission Vehicles in Categories N2 and N3. The program is part of the transformation of the heavy transport sector in Poland. Funding for the program, valued at PLN 2 billion, has been secured from the Modernisation Fund.
The investment support program for zero-emission trucks is part of a comprehensive offer from the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management aimed at developing zero-emission heavy transport. On March 31, we launched support programs for the development of network and charging infrastructure for heavy vehicles. These initiatives contribute to the transformation of the Polish transport sector, thereby improving air quality and increasing its competitiveness on the international stage. They will also facilitate the achievement of the goals outlined in the EU AFIR regulation concerning the development of alternative fuels infrastructure - said Paweł Augustyn, Deputy President of the Management Board of NFOŚiGW.
The call for applications concerns the purchase and leasing of zero-emission delivery and heavy-duty vehicles in categories N2 and N3. These are vehicles powered solely by electric energy from externally charged batteries, electric energy generated from hydrogen in onboard fuel cells, or an engine whose operation does not lead to greenhouse gas emissions.
The program is open to entrepreneurs. A single applicant may submit more than one application for funding. The total amount of funding requested by one applicant, together with affiliated enterprises, may not exceed 15% of the budget allocated for the call.
