Trans-Południe, in close cooperation with the Department of International Management at the Cracow University of Economics, has launched a pilot student internship program. The idea behind the program is to provide students with the opportunity to gain experience in a logistics company and to build an effective program for training our own staff.
The trend of expansive growth that Trans-Południe has maintained for several years increasingly requires opening up to educated young people full of innovative ideas. Currently, it is difficult for university graduates to find their first job that meets their expectations and aspirations. Trans-Południe has decided to reach out to young and ambitious students of the KZM AE and facilitate their start of a professional career in the logistics industry – an industry that has been experiencing dynamic development in recent times.
– We hope, and this is also the program’s assumption, that the best ones will be able to permanently join our company’s staff, and thus influence the shape of the logistics market in southern Poland – says the President of Trans-Południe, Marek Pijar.
The internship program includes, among other things, managing projects assigned by a supervisor and preparing and creating analyses and reports. The intern will also be provided with active participation in tasks and solving real problems that Trans-Południe employees face on a daily basis.
– We are very pleased with the Trans-Południe initiative. Especially since, thanks to it, our students will have the opportunity to put the knowledge gained during their studies into practice. The emphasis on the regional dimension of the internships is also significant, which will certainly bring results in the form of expansive development of the logistics industry in Lesser Poland and the Subcarpathian region, and gaining experience in such a dynamic company as Trans-Południe will certainly make it easier for young people to start their professional careers – says the internship coordinator from the Cracow University of Economics, Michał Patkaniowski.
