A factory producing parts for BMW motorcycles will be built in Złocieniec. It will provide jobs for over 300 residents of the town.
There hasn’t been such a large investment in Złocieniec, which suffers from over 40 percent unemployment, in over 20 years. Thanks to the municipal office, the owner of the facility after the former textile factory, and our western neighbors, about 300 residents of Złocieniec will receive permanent employment. Production of parts for the company Walter Automobiltechnik is set to start as early as June. In Złocieniec, the Germans want to produce metal frames and cable harnesses for BMW motorcycles. They have leased the facilities for 10 years. Adapting the halls is expected to cost over half a million zlotys. Mainly women will work on the production of cable harnesses. Their product will go to the largest European automotive concerns. The rest of the crew will be motorcycle frame welders. Candidates will be trained in Berlin starting in April.
