Novell has released the Novell Open Workgroup Suite, which provides an attractive alternative to Windows-compatible software.
It is the first workgroup support suite adapted for operation in an open enterprise IT infrastructure. Flexible, cost-effective, and compliant with open standards, the Open Workgroup Suite includes components designed for both servers and desktops, including powerful administrative tools, collaboration support features, and advanced open-source office applications.
Entering the market, the Novell Open Workgroup Suite replaces the Novell Small Business Suite and Novell Linux Small Business Suite products, and their current users can purchase it as an upgrade.
– Observation of the Polish groupware market shows that the boundary between small and medium-sized enterprises is gradually blurring. Due to its enormous scalability, the Novell Open Workgroup Suite allows for seamless system expansion from a few to several hundred workstations, which is a particularly important asset for fast-growing companies, freeing them from costly and cumbersome system changes to larger ones – said Jarosław Kowalski, Director of Novell Poland.
