Comarch Competence Center in Germany

In cooperation with the Dresden University of Technology and the authorities of Saxony, Comarch is realizing its vision of the A4 Technology Highway, which will include software production centers in Lviv, Krakow, Katowice, and Dresden.

Comarch has decided to establish a new competence and resource center in Dresden, which is intended to facilitate the flow of knowledge and business between Comarch companies in Eastern and Western Europe. The opening of the center is planned for the summer of 2005. By 2007, the center is expected to employ up to 90 IT specialists, consultants, and business consultants.

The activities of the Comarch competence center in Dresden will include product and solution management, research and development, and vertical consulting. Co-financed by European Union funds and the company’s own funds, the Dresden center will be an integral part of the company’s research and development program. Together with the research branch in Dresden, Comarch is building a unique line of competence and business units located along the A4 motorway. It stretches from Lviv (software development) through Wrocław (implementation center), Dresden (competence and resource center), to the Western European Comarch headquarters in Frankfurt am Main, which deals with the sale of IT systems on Western markets.
