As part of this program, the Barcode Center of the Institute of Logistics and Warehousing in Poznań cooperates with large retail chains, conducting on-site print quality tests for barcodes on goods found on store shelves.
The purpose of these tests is to reach manufacturers using defective codes and to identify the causes of incorrect printing. In addition, the stores’ product databases are checked for the correctness and legality of the numbers they contain.
Every manufacturer can also check the print quality of their codes by sending samples of their packaging to the Barcode Center.
The codes on this packaging will be scanned and tested using a verifier, and detailed information about any errors found will be sent to the manufacturer. For all system participants, barcode print quality testing is performed free of charge.
