With Schenker from Krakow to Bucharest

On June 1, 2006, Schenker Sp. z o.o. launched a regular groupage connection with Romania. Compared to the previous solution via Vienna, the new line reduces delivery time to 3-4 business days (previously 6-7 days), which means lower costs across the entire supply chain for Polish contractors. Smaller companies, as well as those that, for various business reasons, did not want or could not transport their goods by purchasing full-truckload services, can now participate in economic exchange between the countries.
The groupage line primarily enables the transport of loads weighing up to 2,500 kg, so smaller Polish companies will be able to transport smaller batches of goods, commensurate with the scale of their operations.

– The Krakow-Bucharest line is a special type of service that allows customers to combine groupage loads with partial loads, which gives companies greater flexibility in planning weekly shipments – explains Marek Skowroński, Product Manager North&South, Schenker Sp. z o.o. – Our experience shows that a similar connection to Bulgaria, launched about 6 months ago, was a bullseye. The trucks are filled to the maximum with groupage shipments, and everything indicates that a second regular groupage truck departure on this route will be needed in the near future.
