One of the largest retail chains, GEANT Polska Sp. z o.o., has joined the EANIC Electronic Catalog. The subject of the implementation is the integration of the EANIC catalog into the process of exchanging basic product data between suppliers and the GEANT company.
"Géant Polska Sp. z o.o. is part of the international CASINO group, which cooperates very effectively with electronic catalogs in other markets. We would also like to use the possibilities of data synchronization with our suppliers in Poland. Improving communication between trading partners will allow for the streamlining of logistics processes and the reduction of costs at all stages of the supply chain, between the manufacturer and the retail recipient."

The pilot project "Basic data synchronization for GEANT Polska" includes the organizational and technical preparation of 15 enterprises – suppliers of the chain, for the ongoing entry and updating of product information via the EANIC Electronic Catalog. For a full month, the Geant IT system will test and verify the submitted data. If the information is not complete, the company will have the opportunity to supplement the indicated data based on a list of required and recommended attributes. Depending on the need, the Institute of Logistics and Warehousing offers individual training on the use of the GS1 standard and the requirements of the Geant chain.
