Results of the “ProLogis the Best” competition

The second edition of the “ProLogis the Best” competition for the best graduate of the Poznan School of Logistics has been concluded. ProLogis, the world’s largest owner, manager and developer of distribution facilities, awarded this title to Ms. Joanna Kopańska.

The idea behind the “ProLogis the Best” competition for the best WSL graduate is to identify particularly talented and ambitious graduates and provide them with the opportunity to present their achievements and skills to both the university and future employers.

– The second edition of the “ProLogis the Best” competition for the best WSL graduate has once again proven that the Poznan School of Logistics is a forge of talent. The students demonstrated not only diligent work during their studies but also language proficiency, numerous scientific publications, and sports achievements. We are pleased that the “ProLogis the Best” competition has motivated students to engage in fair competition in the scientific field. – said Marta Tęsiorowska, Marketing & Communications Manager at ProLogis.

The winner of this year’s edition of the competition is Joanna Kopańska, a WSL graduate in Management and Marketing with a specialization in Logistics. As a prize, she received the title of Best WSL Graduate 2007, a commemorative diploma, and a cash prize of 10,000 PLN.

– I am extremely pleased to have been distinguished and awarded in such a prestigious competition. The ProLogis award has a triple dimension for me – it is an award in itself, a source of satisfaction, and a unique culmination of my undergraduate studies at WSL, which I remember with fondness. At the same time, I would like to express my gratitude to the competition patron – ProLogis – for undertaking such valuable pro-student initiatives. – said the competition winner, Joanna Kopańska.

The main condition for participation in the competition was a minimum grade point average of 4.53 throughout the entire course of study. Students were evaluated not only on their academic results. Foreign language proficiency, including specialized language, international exchanges, work in student scientific movements and student government, as well as sports achievements and charitable activities were also taken into account. The competition was overseen by a jury composed of representatives of the Poznan School of Logistics, the student government, the Institute of Logistics and Warehousing, and ProLogis.

– Cooperation with ProLogis is both an honor for the university and a great opportunity for our students. During the two years of our cooperation, we have repeatedly benefited from the knowledge and experience of ProLogis, a giant in the warehouse real estate market. Together, we created the “ProLogis the Best” project, which aims to open a path to a professional career for them. We are glad that we are supported in the development of the logistics industry in Poland by such a prestigious partner as ProLogis. – commented Assoc. Prof. Ireneusz Fechner, Chancellor of the Poznan School of Logistics.

The “ProLogis the Best” competition has been organized for two years in cooperation with the Poznan School of Logistics. The award is intended to provide motivation and gratification for the university’s best students. Students compete in three categories: Best Bachelor’s Thesis, Best Master’s Thesis, and Best Graduate.
