A Microsoft Innovation Center will be established at the Poznań Supercomputing and Networking Center. Its grand opening will take place on June 1, 2006.
In February of this year, Bill Gates announced the creation of a similar center in Warsaw, but there, employees will be responsible for supporting and developing systems used internally by the corporation worldwide. The Poznań center will focus on developing new applications and collaborating with Microsoft’s business partners. The new facility, which was created in cooperation with the Poznań University of Technology, will employ several dozen people, recruited primarily from the academic community.
