The first loaf of bread reached the residents of Poznań on November 30, 1908, when a bakery cooperative founded by merchants from the Victuals Trade Association began operations. Since January 1, 1997, the cooperative has been operating under the name FAWOR.
Currently, the cooperative is one of the largest local suppliers of bread in the Greater Poland region. According to conducted research, the company serves over 1/4 of the market, delivering fresh bread to customers in Poznań, Swarzędz, Kostrzyn Wlkp., Tarnowo Podgórne, Puszczykowo, Komorniki, Suchy Las, and Czerwonak.
Bread is a specific product. It belongs to a group of goods characterized by a very short shelf life. In order for the bread to retain its basic qualities – its characteristic aroma, taste, and golden-brown color – no preservatives can be added to it.
