There are many good logistics textbooks available in Poland – developed by domestic authors or translated from foreign languages. However, they all present content at an academic level, intended for logistics students. Logistics Fundamentals is the first textbook whose content is consistent with the “Core curriculum for training in the logistics technician profession” (342 [04]) developed by the Ministry of National Education and Sport.
The authors of the individual chapters of the Logistics Fundamentals textbook are specialists representing the Institute of Logistics and Warehousing (ILiM), the Poznań School of Logistics (WSL), and the Poznań University of Technology. Its content presents current logistics knowledge and is intended for learning the logistics technician profession at the technical school and post-secondary school level. Valuable additions to the thematic blocks include interesting facts related to the discussed issues, review questions at the end of chapters, a glossary of the most important logistics terms, as well as a list of supplementary literature.
Reading the textbook will help young people familiarize themselves with the basics of logistics and thus open the way for them to acquire an attractive, modern profession, as well as further academic education in fields of study related to logistics.
