HDF, a company specializing in process management software, is introducing a direct part and product marking service: DPM. The new offer includes consulting services related to the entire implementation: audit, determination of optimal marking methods and reading technologies, and equipment selection. Furthermore, HDF offers specialized DPM equipment, including readers from recognized manufacturers such as Motorola Symbol, Datalogic, and HHP.
– This is a future-oriented technology. Its primary advantage is the ability to be implemented even in the most extreme conditions – e.g., extreme temperatures, pressure, dust – where commonly used labels are not applicable. Thanks to this, DPM enables precise monitoring of the marked part or product. – says Rafał Tomczyk, Service Manager, HDF Sp. z o.o.
– How important this is can be illustrated by the example of jet engine turbine blades – these essential aircraft components are subject to extreme factors, while at the same time being crucial for the machine’s operation and passenger safety. Thus, the aircraft manufacturer must know the manufacturing and service history of these components in the finest detail.
Thanks to the flexibility of this technology, one- and two-dimensional barcodes can be used to mark the most diverse surfaces: metal (of various compositions), glass, plastic, and ceramics. DPM marking methods include: laser marking, etching, inkjet printing, and engraving. DPM technology is used in industry segments where non-standard conditions are the norm: aerospace, automotive, chemical, defense, and electronics. These are also sectors of the economy characterized by enormous potential and dynamics.
