35 percent revenue growth thanks to the ARIS platform

IDS Scheer AG recorded a 35 percent increase in revenue from the sale of licenses for products belonging to the ARIS platform in the second quarter of 2007. Consequently, its management board deemed it appropriate to raise the annual forecast regarding both the growth of global revenue and revenue obtained from the sale of licenses for the ARIS product family.

The company’s global revenue in the second quarter of 2007 increased by nearly 13 percent compared to the same quarter in 2006, reaching 99.6 million EUR (excluding currency translation effects, the growth was 14 percent). This quarterly growth was significantly higher than the projected 10 percent. EBITA profit improved by 2 percent and amounted to 10 million EUR.
The primary contribution to revenue growth came from the excellent sales of products from the ARIS family; license sales soared by as much as 35 percent to 15.6 million EUR. The entire product sector, which in addition to license sales includes revenue from maintenance and services related to ARIS, grew by 20 percent to 34.5 million EUR and currently accounts for approximately 35 percent of the company’s global sales (compared to 33 percent a year earlier). It is important to remember the significance of growth in this sector for financial results. The EBITA margin here is high, amounting to 23.3 percent in the quarter under review.

The largest share of the company’s revenue comes from consulting services. In the second quarter of 2007, it increased by 9 percent to 65.1 million EUR.
