WMS and CRM for Polonia Logistyka

Polonia Logistyka has signed an agreement with Macrologic S.A. The contract concerns the implementation of Xpertis CRM, OLAP, and WMS systems. The goal of the project is to increase the operational efficiency of Polonia Logistyka in the areas of freight forwarding and logistics services. As part of the project, Polonia Logistyka will implement a portal for customers using the company’s services.

WMS and CRM for Polonia Logistyka

The implementation project led by Macrologic is part of Polonia Logistyka’s strategy aimed at offering customers efficient, more competitively priced, and flexible service within transport and logistics operations. Polonia organizes the import and export of sea and air shipments, providing comprehensive sea transport services, full container load (FCL), and less-than-container load (LCL) shipments in a “door-to-door” system. The company also provides services in express transport (1.5 and 3.5 t capacity), milk runs, LTL, and refrigerated transport. The company has high-bay warehouses, the area of which is ultimately intended to reach 10,000 sq m. The development of services and the expansion of the client portfolio were the impetus for greater automation of customer service processes and increasing the profitability of services. Polonia decided to implement new IT solutions that will streamline operations in key areas and allow for detailed analysis of services provided in the future. In the CRM area, the project will focus on the customer acquisition process and the digitization and circulation of information accompanying the order processing process. In the sales area, Macrologic will provide tools allowing for the tracking of commercial contacts in relation to individual groups as well as individual contractors. Polonia will receive analytical tools that create periodic reports regarding, among other things, frequency, profitability, and turnover levels. The system will be equipped with an alert system informing managers about trend changes. Thanks to analytical data from the CRM, Polonia intends to better manage its offer by combining orders and setting profitability levels. In the logistics area, the WMS system proposed to Polonia will streamline the recording of pallet turnover, taking into account unit, partial, and non-standard parameters. In addition to standard functions supporting goods turnover or inventory, the new system will automate the location of goods based on parameters such as: dimensions, weight, rotation frequency, and special customer instructions. The WMS will also enable so-called “pallet packing” and manual location changes. The system will store the entire history of deliveries with the ability to track an individual unit from the moment of entry through location changes, up to the release from the warehouse. It will also be connected to a portal that will be made available to customers.
