The increased summer demand in the beverage industry must be met by other departments supporting production, including internal transport. Therefore, the loading and unloading of beverages during the summer season must be carried out very efficiently. Specialized
forklift attachments successfully perform such tasks. These include: positioners for transporting different quantities of pallets with a single device (e.g., 1 or 2; 1, 2 or 3; 2 or 4; up to 8) equipped with a sideshift function, palletizers
and telescopic forks, which are the subject of this article. A characteristic feature of the telescopic forks offered by
SCHULTE-HENKE – Stabau is the ability to smoothly adjust their length (depending on the type: 1100 to 1850, 1200 to 2050, and 1350 to 2350 mm). This allows for the unloading and loading of pallets from one side of a trailer, which is the most common application for these devices. The first two types (1100-1850 and 1200-2050) are used for loading trailers up to 2 m wide. The 1350-2350 telescopic forks allow for loading a trailer up to 2.5 m wide. Of course, this device can be used wherever smooth, hydraulic fork length adjustment is needed.
