As part of its customer service, Wincanton undertakes many complex international transport tasks. Proof of this is a facility recently built in Alaska. At the beginning of 2009, Kingspan, a manufacturer of sandwich panels used for, among other things, the construction of industrial and service facilities, received an order to supply materials to Alaska. Kingspan panels were the only ones to meet all the criteria set by the facility’s designer. The logistics operator Wincanton undertook the transport of the panels from Leipzig to the port of Rotterdam. Due to the enormous distance the cargo had to cover, in addition to road transport, the panels were also transported by ship to Rotterdam. It was particularly important to secure the transport against damage, thanks to which the panels traveled thousands of kilometers by both sea and land without any damage.
