The system includes Quattro Plus on-board computers, which will be installed in drivers’ cabs. Thanks to these devices, JAS-FBG SA dispatchers will be kept informed about the vehicle’s location and its travel plan on a digital map in real time. The system also allows for real-time insight into the number of hours worked by the driver.
– Thanks to the implementation of the system, managing the entire fleet and planning drivers’ working hours will become easier – explains Krzysztof Pitlok, Transport Organization Manager at Transbud-Katowice SA, part of the JAS-FBG SA capital group – We will gain the ability to react instantly to all significant events that occur during the journey.
The software accompanying the on-board computers will allow dispatchers to view how orders are being fulfilled, including status overviews, tracking delivery times, and real-time electronic delivery confirmation.
Quattro Plus computers are easy to use, facilitate communication with the base, and can also serve as a navigation assistance tool.
For company management, the benefits resulting from the optimization of operating costs are significant at a time when the TSL industry is experiencing difficult moments – The savings that will appear once the system is launched will allow us to build a competitive advantage and achieve satisfactory results – says Jan Legawiec, Vice President of the Management Board of Transbud-Katowice SA.
