This year’s exhibition, which took place on April 14-15, 2011, in Sosnowiec, was visited by two thousand attendees (according to the organizers). The trade fair covered broadly understood logistics, including rail and road transport, as well as warehousing. Over 80 companies from the industry presented their offers at the fair.
One of the exhibitors was the Institute of Logistics and Warehousing, promoting the CASTLE project, which concerns the improvement of public policy related to transport and logistics, with a particular focus on the needs of the SME sector. Due to its good location (next to the conference room), the ILiM stand was frequently visited by participants, among whom project materials (leaflets, newsletters, press releases) were distributed. Interest in the project varied, but several contacts were collected from people interested in the final project publication. Contact was also established with the press (e.g., eTransport, Infrastruktura transportu) – it was agreed that all information related to the project would be sent to the persons responsible for editing content in the aforementioned media.
The goal of the CASTLE project stand at the trade fair in Sosnowiec was to disseminate knowledge about the project, the possibilities and involvement of SMEs in CASTLE activities, and to inform visitors about EU projects, in which increasing emphasis is placed on the participation of real companies (usually from the SME sector) in projects.
