Part 3: Global Trade Directory System (GTDS)
The third article in the series dedicated to presenting the benefits of using the Trade Point Poznań offer and information system introduces the functions related to using the Global Trade Directory System (GTDS), which allows for browsing catalog entries about companies and their products or services, as well as posting your own company profile and descriptions of your own products and services.
The Trade Point Poznań system (www.poznan.tradepoint.org, www.tpp.com.pl) provides free access to the Global Trade Directory, which contains a database of companies, products, and services from over 90 countries around the world. To gain access to the TPP system, which entitles you to post your own company profile and descriptions of your own products or services, you must register as a TPP Participant and log in to the system.
Browsing company profiles and catalog entries for products and services
In the GTDS directory, companies, products, and services are categorized according to a three-level category structure based on HS-CODE coding. To search for a company, you must select the appropriate category and its subcategories. At each stage of searching for
products, the TPP system informs you about the number of companies and products found assigned to individual subcategories.
