TNT Express Poland is the official courier for the 2008 Polish Film Awards, the Eagles.
TNT Express delivered over 1,100 personalized shipments as part of its cooperation with the organizers of the 10th edition of the Polish Film Awards, the Eagles. The shipments, addressed to members of the Polish Film Academy, contained voting ballots for the best Polish films of 2007. Half of the batch—ballots for the first round of voting—was delivered at the beginning of January, and the next—for the second round—in February. The majority were domestic shipments, although there were also international ones among them.
– This is a complex logistics process – says Rafał Dziura, Sales and Marketing Director at TNT Express Poland. – Our task was to effectively deliver shipments containing important documentation directly into the hands of the recipients. According to the regulations, jurors should receive them at a similar time. This is a major challenge, as members of the Polish Film Academy were available at the indicated addresses at very diverse times, rarely coinciding with the working hours of most courier companies.
– Timely delivery of voting ballots to Academy members is of key importance for the event we organize – says Izabela Wójcik, Director of the Polish Film Awards, the Eagles competition.
– That is why we wanted to choose a company that would meet our requirements. Knowing TNT’s previous experience in such extensive projects, including handling the European Film Academy, we were very satisfied to welcome this company among the partners of the Polish Film Awards, the Eagles.
TNT’s previous experience in similar projects includes, among others, handling the European Film Awards and the Olympic Games in Athens. The first of these events took place in 2007 in Warsaw and brought together world-class stars and leading creators of Polish cinema. TNT was responsible for, among other things, transporting competition films and documentation to 1,700 members of the European Film Academy in various parts of the continent. Additionally, the company transported the “European Oscar” statuettes to their winners, including Pedro Almodovar, Penelope Cruz, and Roman Polanski.
In turn, in 2004—before the Athens Games—TNT was responsible for distributing over 14,000 tickets across Europe, each of which was addressed by name and sent to the recipient’s private address. The shipments reached fans in 17 European countries—and just like in the case of the Eagles, they were delivered during hours defined by the recipients.
