The “Wincanton Logistics Forum Award” competition for the best master’s thesis in the field of logistics has concluded. The winner is Gerard Trenerowski, a graduate of the Poznań University of Economics, who received a check for 5,000 PLN from the organizers.
– We invited 12 Polish universities that educate students in the field of logistics to participate in the competition. Our goal was both to promote logistics in our country and to encourage students to work more intensively throughout their studies. We also decided to award a financial prize of 3,000 PLN to the supervisor of the distinguished master’s thesis. In this way, we tried to appreciate the contribution and commitment of the professors under whose guidance innovative master’s theses are created. – said Ryszard Warzocha, Regional Director, Central and Eastern Europe, Wincanton.
As with previous Wincanton Logistics Forum initiatives, substantive supervision and oversight of the competition were provided by the Scientific Council represented by Dr. Hab. Danuta Kisperska-Moroń from the Department of Economic Logistics at the Karol Adamiecki University of Economics in Katowice and Prof. Dr. Hab. Włodzimierz Rydzkowski, Head of the Department of Transport Policy at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Gdańsk. From all submitted entries, the Council selected the winning master’s thesis.

Gerard Trenerowski’s thesis titled “The healthcare system as a new market for logistics” turned out to be the most interesting and at the same time the most innovative, and it gained the most points. It was written under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Hab. Elżbieta Gołembska from the Poznań University of Economics. – informed Prof. Dr. Hab.
