The improvement of the DHL EUROPLUS service was preceded by tests, which confirmed the high punctuality of delivery accompanying the shortened transit time.
– In 2006, we worked on improving the quality and service time for customers on the main trade routes for Poland, which include Germany, among others – said Tomasz Buraś, CEO of DHL Express (Poland). – In business, time is of the essence. It determines the success of an undertaking and allows for gaining a competitive advantage. Therefore, in response to the needs of entrepreneurs, we decided to shorten the delivery time of shipments to Germany as a priority.
DHL EUROPLUS was introduced to the DHL Express offer in October 2004. It gives customers the possibility to transport shipments with a maximum weight of up to 2,500 kg to any place in Europe. A shipment can consist of one or many elements – both parcels and pallets. The price of the service also includes additional options (e.g., the possibility of personal drop-off at a collection point, storage of shipments in a warehouse until they are collected by the recipient, a second delivery attempt, import order – the recipient can initiate the collection of a shipment in another country – always in combination with the “recipient pays” option). As with the entire DHL offer, customers using DHL EUROPLUS have the ability to track the status of their shipment in the track&trace system. In 2005, DHL EUROPLUS was awarded the European Medal, granted by the Business Centre Club.
