“Safe e-Shop” competition at the halfway point

The “Safe e-Shop” competition for online stores, organized by the Institute of Logistics and Warehousing, has reached its halfway point. Within the first 3 weeks, over 350 stores have signed up for the 1st edition of the competition. The winners, verified by the Competition Jury, will receive the right to use the “Safe e-Shop” mark and additional prizes.

– We are pleasantly surprised by the number of entries at this stage of the campaign. The interest in the competition shows how important credibility in the eyes of potential customers is to store owners. Of course, some of those registered have many security gaps, but one of the assumptions of this competition is to reach these stores and provide information about the necessary changes to improve the quality and security of the services provided by the stores – says Kinga Szewczyk from the Institute of Logistics and Warehousing.

Among the registered participants of the competition are both large entities such as Komputronik.pl, Oponeo.pl or Megastore.pl, as well as smaller ones such as Farbyjachtowe.pl – containing materials for yacht maintenance – or http://www.sklepik.agh.edu.pl/ offering souvenirs for AGH students. The honorary patronage over the event was taken by Deputy Prime Minister Waldemar Pawlak. Patronage is provided by consumer organizations, companies related to the e-commerce industry, and numerous portals (including bankier.pl, ekomercyjnie.pl, di.pl).

Applications for the competition will be accepted until the end of January 2011. The announcement of the results is planned for mid-March 2011. More information about the competition is available on the website: http://www.bezpiecznyesklep.pl/
