The University of Humanities and Economics in Lodz has introduced a unique offer on the Polish market for postgraduate studies and training for management staff.

Thanks to funding from the European Social Fund, participants in the project “Development of enterprise management staff based on the structuring of professional competencies” bear only 20% of the costs.

The continuous development of small and medium-sized enterprises has meant that small companies, once underestimated in the Polish economy, have now become the main driving force of the national economy. This has led to ever-increasing competition, in which only those companies that, while taking care of their development, have not forgotten about acquiring and constantly expanding the professional qualifications of their owners and employees, maintain a strong position on the market. An example of a company that soon became a powerhouse in its field is the University of Humanities and Economics in Lodz. In the first year of its operation, the university educated 150 students in the field of Management and Marketing.
Today, after fourteen years, almost 30,000 students are studying at the University of Humanities and Economics in Lodz in 12 fields of study. The university owes its development not only to an innovative approach to education, but also, and perhaps above all, to the continuous improvement of its employees’ qualifications.
Today, this oldest and largest non-public university in Poland, by introducing postgraduate studies for management staff of small and medium-sized enterprises into its educational offer, is starting cooperation with this sector of the market, which shows increasing interest in raising and acquiring new qualifications by management staff.
With company owners and people in managerial positions in mind, a whole range of training courses has been prepared using the modern method of e-learning, also known as distance learning. E-learning is an increasingly common way of transferring knowledge using a rich set of electronic information transformation tools, i.e., the Internet, intranet, extranet, audio and video recordings. It allows for conducting a course, training, or even studies without the need for personal presence in a lecture hall. Thanks to this, the method is most willingly used by management staff, who, due to irregular working hours, have considerable difficulties in improving their qualifications in the traditional way. Preparing the offer, the University of Humanities and Economics ensured its highest standards. The quality of services provided under the project is supervised by the Polish Agency for Enterprise Development. Among company owners, training in the field of strategic management and marketing management and planning, team management, motivational leadership, and communication strategies are particularly popular. The subsidy received by the University of Humanities and Economics in Lodz as part of the project “Development of enterprise management staff based on the structuring of professional competencies” allows the University to offer postgraduate studies and specialist training at an unprecedented price, because both the aforementioned training and the “soft skills training” on offer intended for management staff have received funding from the European Social Fund. – Thanks to this, the costs of participating in the training have been reduced to a minimum, and in some cases, an entrepreneur taking part in the training or sending their employees to it does not bear any costs. – explains Ewa Polak, Project Manager.

The project is co-financed by the European Union under the European Social Fund, implemented under the supervision of the Polish Agency for Enterprise Development.
