Polski Lek goes mobile

Polski Lek, a manufacturer and distributor of dietary supplements, has implemented a mobile SFA, FFA, and CRM system. Following the implementation, the company expects a 10 percent increase in sales.

The Emigo mobile system supports business processes in key sales areas. The functionalities of the CRM system, implemented by Polski Lek in 2005 and supplemented over time with options such as support for the specific pharmacy market, were no longer sufficient.

– We clearly noticed that the lack of real-time information on order status was causing lower sales, by as much as a dozen or so percent – says Mirosław Smółka, Commercial Director at Polski Lek S.A. – This prompted us to look for an appropriate solution. Ultimately, we chose software from Sagra Technology, which has the functionality we were looking for and is integrated with pharmaceutical wholesalers that serve 90 percent of the pharmacy market.

For Polski Lek, one of the most important functionalities is transparent inventory management. Emigo enables the electronic transmission of orders, which ensures faster flow of goods, reduced inventory levels, and shorter delivery times. Currently, through Emigo, Polski Lek automatically transmits orders to distributors’ warehouse systems. The solution automatically reserves goods and confirms order fulfillment.

– Today, company employees have access to the most up-to-date order statuses and current inventory levels anywhere and at any time – says Piotr Stawarz, Implementation Specialist at Sagra Technology.

On a daily basis, Emigo supports the work of a total of about 30 people: mobile sales representatives as well as company managers. The solution is being expanded – additional distributors of Polski Lek products are currently being connected to it. Functionality related to promotion management is also being prepared. The completion of this process is scheduled for June.

– The most important goal is to obtain full information from 90 percent of our distributors regarding the status of order fulfillment generated by the sales department, as well as information on inventory levels and current sales of our products – says Mirosław Smółka – We estimate that thanks to this data, we will increase sales by 10 percent.
