Panattoni Europe, the market leader in warehouse space in Poland, has signed an agreement to build a BTS facility for its client, the clothing company H&M. The developer will build a 30,000 sqm warehouse, in which it will implement a number of ecological solutions.
Panattoni Europe has signed an agreement for space expansion with Hennes & Mauritz Sp. z o.o., which is located in Panattoni Park Poznań I. The famous international clothing company has occupied a 50,000 sqm facility built by Panattoni Europe in Gądki near Kórnik since 2007. Due to its expansion, H&M has decided to build another warehouse in Gądki, with an area of 30,000 sqm.
The building, being developed for H&M at Panattoni Park Poznań I, will be the first facility in the Panattoni portfolio to incorporate numerous ecological solutions. Solar panels will be installed on the warehouse roof to be used for water heating. The hall will also have more natural light, enabling energy savings during the day. The facility will be equipped with a rainwater recovery system. Among the materials used for the construction of the hall, there will be no PVC or polystyrene. Robert Dobrzycki, Managing Partner for Central and Eastern Europe at Panattoni Europe, said:
– We are pleased that such a demanding client as H&M has appreciated our facilities and wants to develop with our help. We are also glad that environmental awareness is growing among our clients. Such buildings are not only environmentally friendly, but are simply more efficient from the point of view of operating costs.
Panattoni Park Poznań I consists of three buildings with a total area of 126,600 sqm. It is located 13 kilometers from Poznań, by the A2 motorway, which is the main east-west transport route from Germany to Central Europe. In addition to H&M, the park’s tenants include: Arvato Services, Piotr i Paweł, Dachser, Desa, Gefco, ME-FA, Nova, and OST Sped.
