Among the materials present in the managed warehouse are labels, cartons, foils, bottle caps, glues, etc. The OPTIpromag system manages warehouse processes in this facility and coordinates movement between the central packaging materials warehouse and the production warehouse. The OPTIpromag WMS system operates in warehouses with various logical configurations, ranging from warehouses with floor storage areas and stationary racks to mobile racking systems.
The functionality of the solution provided by Optidata includes a WMS (Warehouse Management System) and a dedicated interface using Web Services technology, operating in on-line mode with the SAP/R3 system. As part of the implementation, OPTIDATA launched a centrally managed radio network at Browar Żywiec based on Cisco devices, which further helped improve warehouse operations.
The implementation utilized mobile Motorola terminals that transmit data in a real-time database system, enabling company management to monitor warehouse stock levels and operations in real-time, which is particularly important when maintaining a strict quality management policy.
OPTIDATA was chosen to carry out this implementation due to its extensive experience, references, and competitive price. OPTIDATA has been operating on the Polish market for seven years, providing comprehensive WMS and MES solutions that support SCM (Supply Chain Management) and allow for the tracking and flow of goods in the supply chain (“Track and Trace”). The systems offered by OPTIDATA are compliant with GS1 organization guidelines.
The OPTIpromag WMS system has significantly improved the functioning of warehouse processes at Browar Żywiec and clearly optimized the production line supply processes.
