An interview with Tomasz Kawecki, a specialist at the Electronic Economy Center of the Institute of Logistics and Warehousing
Michał Koralewski: On the initiative of the Polish Security Printing Works (PWPW SA), Unizeto Technologies SA, the National Clearing House (KIR SA), and the Institute of Logistics and Warehousing, a standard electronic invoice template adapted to Polish requirements and conditions has been developed. How did the work on this standard proceed?
Tomasz Kawecki: We are aware that many enterprises, as well as public administration offices, are waiting for the identification of a secure electronic document template accepted by everyone.
We started the project in February of this year with a detailed analysis and identification of existing standards and Polish and European legal conditions. The next point was the acceptance of one of the recommended standards. We chose the EDI-XML GS1 standard as the one that best meets the needs and is closest to Polish requirements. We expanded it with fields that fully allowed for the application of the standard in our country’s conditions, i.e., legally required fields.
