Starting from November 28, 2006, a regular, shuttle, private container train has connected the Gdynia Baltic Container Terminal with the Euroterminal in Sławków twice a week, offering full container traffic handling along with delivery to the final customer at attractive prices. The launched permanent “block train” connection is primarily addressed to shipowners, logistics operators, and freight forwarders who value reliability and short transit times for cargo to southern Poland.
An express container train is available to customers, consisting of at least 20 platforms adapted to carry all types of containers, ensuring a short transit time between the Tri-City and southern Poland, regardless of the season, weather conditions, or road traffic difficulties.
– This is the first container train in Poland that will regularly, regardless of the cargo volume, connect the port with contractors in southern Poland quickly, safely, ecologically, reliably, and, just as importantly, at a competitive price – says Dariusz Stefański – President of the Management Board of PCC Rail Containers, which provides comprehensive logistics support for cargo shipped by train.
