The modern DHL Express terminal in Radom was built in accordance with corporate requirements that apply to DHL worldwide. The modern facility can handle up to 8,000 shipments per day, which is as much as 250 percent more than the previous facility. This increase in efficiency is ensured by implemented technological solutions, including an automatic sorter measuring over 63 meters. Its capacity is 2,200 shipments per hour. The terminal has 9 gates equipped with hydraulic ramps enabling the handling of trucks and 25 gates for delivery vans to handle courier parcel shipments. The area of the warehouse hall is 1,380 sq m, and social and office rooms cover nearly 340 sq m.
As part of the GoGreen pro-ecological strategy implemented by DHL Express (Poland), the new Radom terminal has implemented appropriate solutions in this area, such as waste segregation (e.g., paper, batteries, plastics), 2 oil substance separators with a capacity of 6,000 liters each, a rainwater evaporation tank, sewage discharge to the municipal sewage system, and its own gas heating system.
– Launching the new terminal in Radom will allow us to provide our customers with the highest quality of services – said Tomasz Buraś, CEO of DHL Express (Poland). – This investment is of particular importance to us. This year marks 40 years since the founding of DHL. Opening a new facility this year is another special birthday gift for our customers.
The new address of the DHL Express terminal is: ul. Hodowlana 4, Radom. There is also a Service Point at the terminal where customers can directly send and receive shipments.
