In part I of the article (“Logistyka” 6/2001), a comparison was made between national guidelines (IL-B-001 based on the PN-90/B-03200 standard) and European guidelines (FEM 10.2.02) regarding the stability of columns under axial compression and compression with simultaneous bending. The comparison was conducted in terms of the operational safety of racks as their most important feature. In the second part, the author analyzes other issues that are very important for safety and are the subject of the compared regulations, such as: the design tilt angle of the rack, consideration of clearances in the hook connection in the analysis, the stiffness of the hook connection, and the characteristic features of the most common test stands for this stiffness.
The article comes from the “Logistyka” magazine 2002/1.
