The publicly traded company Mondi Packaging Paper Świecie SA is implementing the corporate SAP system template. The main goal of the project is to align business processes and SAP system data structures with the Group’s standards, centralize selected processes, and ensure comparability of information in strategic business areas. IMG Polska was selected to carry out the project.
The completion of project work and the launch of the new system are scheduled for January 2007. Roll-outs of the solution to other Mondi Packaging paper mills worldwide are planned for 2006-2008. An additional effect of implementing the template system in other Group paper mills will be the optimization of IT costs through centralized management of IT infrastructure and strategy.
In mid-July, the project entered the next phase, which includes developing a concept for adapting the template solution to Polish legal requirements and integrating local processes with the corporate template.
The SAP template solution is called Pulp and Paper Competitive Advantage (PPCA), was developed at the Mondi Group headquarters in Vienna, and utilizes most of the available SAP system modules. It was created based on previous implementations in Mondi Group paper mills and supports key company processes that have been standardized. These are: Customer to Cash (C2C), Purchase to Pay (P2P), Demand to Supply (D2S), Finance to Manage (F2M), and Maintain to Repair (M2R). It is worth noting that for the maintenance process (M2R), the Group headquarters fully utilized the SAP maintenance management functionality adapted to Mondi’s needs, which was implemented in Świecie by IMG.
