The main directions for the development of new transport technologies, primarily for production and warehousing logistics, are defined by the universal pursuit of achieving reliable, safe, and efficient solutions.Practice shows that in this field as well, only the application of automation systems guarantees high quality and increases the chances of long-term success. The primary source of information for automation systems is a variety of measurement and sensor devices, the accuracy of which decisively influences the subsequent stages of managing the logistics process.

Unmanned high-bay warehouses were created with the goal of maximizing the use of the space occupied by the facility. Achieving increasingly better results for a given rack length was only possible by increasing their height while simultaneously reducing the width of the transport aisles between the racks. The conditions created in this way, which require continuous and error-free operation, point to full automation as the only way to optimally solve the problem.
