The dynamic growth of Poli-Eco Tworzywa Sztuczne sp. z o.o. necessitated the introduction of modern solutions for automatic identification in the warehouse. According to the assumptions, the implementation was to include:
– design and installation of a wireless network,
– supply of automatic identification devices,
– software for label design and printing,
– supply of consumables,
– installation and configuration of devices, as well as their warranty and post-warranty service.
Poli-Eco accepted the proposal submitted by SKK – Systemy Kodów Kreskowych SA, appreciating, among other things, the comprehensiveness of the offer, competitive prices, and references from other clients for whom SKK had already carried out similar implementations. As part of the project, SKK installed a CISCO wireless network in three Poli-Eco warehouses located in different sites. They also supplied the necessary equipment: Intermec terminals (handheld Intermec CK31ex and vehicle-mounted CV30 with SR60 scanners), Intermec PX6i and Datamax I-4208 printers, Nice Label software for label design and printing, as well as consumables, i.e., specialized labels for rack marking and ribbons, and provides service for all devices.
At the end of the implementation, SKK conducted training for system administrators and end-users. The primary effect of the innovations introduced in the company is the streamlining of warehouse operations. The automation of warehouse processes has significantly increased the quality and comfort of work – the elimination of paper documents has contributed to faster work pace and the elimination of the risk of errors.
