I would like to present my observations, discussed in articles in issues 6/2004 and 1/2005 of Logistyka, against the background of issue 4/2004, which was devoted to logistics education. The information and statements contained therein regarding the placement of logistics in teaching standards, its practical utility, commonly implemented curricula, and the curriculum of the Wrocław University of Science and Technology proposed as a universal one for higher technical studies, do not coincide with my observations. It has long been noted that in Poland, logistics cannot emerge as a field of knowledge.
Transport, quartering, and supply of troops, essential elements of the area of operations in past centuries, today expanded to transport, warehousing, supply, distribution, I identify with the field of knowledge of material management, in which the concepts of materialist philosophy are generally adopted, and problems are considered as determined and can be reduced, while people are controlled by prohibitions and orders (behaviorism).
