LeasePlan Poland grows in strength

LeasePlan Fleet Management (Poland) – a company specializing in fleet management – exceeded the numbers of 200 and 4000 in November 2005. The company now has 205 clients and manages a total of 4015 company cars. A year ago, these figures were 138 and 3187, respectively.

LeasePlan intends to increase its fleet of managed vehicles from the current number to 10,000 by 2008. If this plan succeeds, LeasePlan will become a powerhouse in the leasing industry on the Polish market (it currently holds approximately a 10% market share).

– Our plans are supported by a thorough analysis of the situation in the leasing industry – says Sławomir Wontrucki, Managing Director at LeasePlan. – I believe that the figure of 10,000 cars in 2008 is realistic. We have been observing a steady, dynamic pace of market development for some time now. LeasePlan assumes an annual growth in the number of clients by 18-20%. We would like to grow our client base twice as fast as the average among leasing companies.

It is estimated that there are currently about 50,000 cars under lease in Poland, and according to estimates, this number is increasing. In 2003, there were 23 companies operating in Poland dealing with car leasing, which had a total of 2,144 clients. Currently, the number of leasing companies is approaching 30.

LeasePlan is the world’s largest fleet management company. In 29 countries across 5 continents, it manages a fleet of over 1.2 million vehicles, providing leasing services and fleet management solutions for corporate clients.
