The conference addressed issues regarding how to effectively utilize the opportunities provided by modern IT infrastructure and what prospects lie ahead for telecommunications operators. The lecture delivered by legal advisor Iwona Pasierbiak, which presented the legal requirements concerning the processing of personal data in ICT systems, attracted the most interest. During and after the lecture, participants had the opportunity to ask questions that were on their minds, to which they received comprehensive answers.
At the end of the conference, Glossaries—dictionaries of terminology used in call centers and help desks, sponsored by the PWN publishing house—were raffled off among the participants. The next edition of the “IT in Telecommunications GigaCon” conference will be held on September 30, 2008.
