We present a specialist guide for hospitals that want to improve their functioning. It presents guidelines for restructuring key hospital processes and implementing tools based on IT solutions. The manual was developed based on experience gained during the implementation of a project at the Provincial Specialist Hospital in Wrocław. The primary goal of the restructuring was to implement logistics solutions using electronic economy technologies, thereby streamlining the flow of medicines and medical materials and reducing costs associated with hospital management in a market economy. This manual is a unique publication on the Polish market. The information contained within will be helpful when creating offers for the National Health Fund, and subsequently for better planning of hospital operations within the allocated funds.
