GEFCO Poland introduces new groupage connections

The logistics services market is seeing dynamic growth in the transport of groupage shipments. Responding to the increasing demand for this type of shipment, GEFCO Poland is launching additional groupage lines and streamlining its existing network of connections.

In July of this year, GEFCO expanded its offer to include regular groupage connections to the Baltic countries. The consolidation center for shipments from Poland and Central and Eastern Europe is the GEFCO platform in Grodzisk Mazowiecki. Distribution in Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia is carried out from platforms in Vilnius and Riga. Thanks to a dense network of domestic and international connections, the transport time for groupage shipments is currently 48 hours.

– Over the last few years, the groupage logistics market has grown several times over. This results in the introduction of increasingly higher and more diverse standards and new connections, while simultaneously reducing costs and transport times – says Bogdan Młynarczyk, General Manager of GEFCO Poland.
– For a large logistics operator, continuous development of the scope of services is essential to maintain a high market position. Therefore, expansion towards the Baltic countries and Spain is a natural course of business growth for GEFCO Poland.

In addition to the Baltic countries, GEFCO’s next goal is to develop exports to the Spanish market. The operator’s trucks run regularly from Kąty Wrocławskie to Barcelona and Madrid. All transports between Poland and Spain are subject to a modern monitoring system. GEFCO has achieved high competitiveness of services on lines between Poland and Spain thanks to the introduction of favorable transport tariffs.
