Published by the University of Customs and Logistics, the book by Henryk Zielaskiewicz titled Freight forwarding during the period of transformation in the rail freight transport market has been released.
In the book, the author presents the role of freight forwarding in the supply chain, discusses typical forwarding services, and identifies the factors influencing the current shape of the market related to freight forwarding. The issue of the relationship between transport companies and freight forwarders is also addressed. Furthermore, the book covers issues of freight forwarding carried out using various modes of transport – maritime, road, rail, and intermodal. The summary provides a brief analysis of the TSL market in Poland, its prospects for the coming years, and emphasizes the role of proper state policy in the development of the entire industry.
