European “Passenger Day”

On Thursday, July 7, information stands for passengers will be set up at airports in 23 European countries. Lawyers – experts from European Consumer Centres – will provide free legal advice and distribute educational leaflets to all interested parties between 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM. The campaign will also take place in Poland – at the airports in Krakow and Warsaw. At the Warsaw Chopin Airport, travelers will not only receive advice and information leaflets, but will also be invited to participate in a quiz on passenger rights. Correct answers will be rewarded with holiday gadgets.

The “Passenger Day” campaign is held under the honorary patronage of the European Commission (Directorate-General for Health and Food Safety) and Ms. Róża Thun and Mr. Artur Zasada, Members of the European Parliament. The event will be organized with the support of the “Passenger rights at your fingertips” campaign.

“Passenger Day” is a joint initiative of the European Consumer Centres Network (ECC-Net), present in all EU countries, Norway, and Iceland. The network’s tasks include informing passengers about their rights and assisting consumers in the amicable settlement of claims in the event of lost or damaged luggage by airlines.

The “Passenger Day” campaign will be carried out at capital and regional airports in the following European countries: Austria, Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Italy, Spain, Portugal, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Sweden, Norway, Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovenia, Bulgaria, Romania, Malta, and Cyprus.
