ERP system at MPK Łódź

IFS has implemented the IFS Applications ERP system at Miejskie Przedsiębiorstwo Komunikacyjne – Łódź Sp. z o.o. The solution, which includes the following modules: IFS Finance (including controlling), IFS Distribution, IFS Maintenance, IFS Sales and Service, IFS Human Resources, and IFS Payroll, will provide support for managing internal processes, streamline maintenance planning, and improve the management of services offered by the company. The system is used by 234 users.

The implementation of the ERP-class enterprise management system was part of the restructuring plan carried out by MPK-Łódź, which aimed, among other things, to strengthen the company’s position and improve the level of services. The recovery program included fleet renewal, optimization of operational processes, and expenditure control. The IFS Applications system will allow for streamlining the company’s internal process management, reducing maintenance and infrastructure costs, and will enable monitoring of inventory levels and material consumption. Users can track total material consumption in real-time, compare it with allocated limits, and the company’s action plan. The implementation of IFS Applications will also enable the analysis of procurement execution and monitoring of response times from requisition to purchase. The obtained parameters allow for the evaluation of cooperation with suppliers.

– The implementation of the IFS Applications management support system will enable the improvement of the company’s efficiency. Thanks to a modern IT system, we have comprehensive information regarding the functioning of individual plants and departments. We can better plan the use of company resources, which enables us to implement new projects and supports the company’s development – said Krzysztof Wąsowicz, President of the Management Board of MPK-Łódź Sp. z o.o.

– Transport companies are complex structures that involve elements of service, maintenance, and warehousing activities – while also employing large teams of people. In this situation, the support of IT tools significantly improves management. ERP-class systems enable better utilization of resources (such as employee time, vehicles, workshops, spare parts, etc.), contributing to improved service quality and financial savings. They also facilitate the provision of increasingly important commercial services – said Marcin Taranek, President of the Management Board of IFS CEE.
