Croatia in the DHL EUROPLUS road network

DHL EUROPLUS, DHL Express’s international road service, has been expanded with another connection. Croatia has joined the existing European countries. Thus, DHL EUROPLUS now covers 30 countries. The territorial reach of the service in Russia has also been significantly expanded. Both countries have been covered by the EUROPLUS IMPORT EXPRESS service, which allows for the choice of transport payment options (by the recipient or a third party), control over shipment collection, and the entire administrative process associated with it.

As part of the DHL EUROPLUS road service, shipments to Croatia will arrive within 5 business days. Since they are subject to customs clearance (Croatia is not an EU member), DHL provides its customers with comprehensive customs clearance support. For example, customers can choose which party, the recipient or the sender, covers the customs duty costs. As is the case with all DHL Express services, thanks to the track&trace system, customers can track their shipments via the website and the DHL Contact Center.

Changes to the offer also apply to Russia, which, like Turkey, joined the network of countries served under DHL EUROPLUS in October 2007. Initially, the service was available in the St. Petersburg and Moscow regions; now its reach has been expanded to include another 13 cities in both the European and Asian parts of Russia: Nizhny Novgorod, Samara, Tolyatti, Rostov, Krasnodar, Novorossiysk, Yekaterinburg, Novosibirsk, Omsk, Tomsk, Perm, Kazan, N. Chelny.

The expansion of the DHL EUROPLUS service reach is a response to the needs of DHL Express customers and support for the trade and business exchange they conduct. It is also another step in the implementation of the long-term expansion plan for the DHL Express international road network in Europe. In February 2007, the road transport time to Germany, Poland’s main trading partner, was shortened from 3 to 2 days; in May, Bulgaria and Romania joined the road network; in October, Russia and Turkey; and in December, Greece.
