JANTAR Sp. z o.o. has developed and implemented a production and warehouse management system for the company STAR PECK based on the UCC/EAN-128 code and the REKORD management system. This solution was created as a supplement to a modern packaging line for meat products.
The project assumptions were as follows:
• preparation of a batch labeling system for products in the intermediate warehouse before final packaging, control of warehouse operations, and execution of release orders for packaging on the automatic packaging line
• defining the method of labeling commercial packaging and collective boxes during the packaging process, so that automatic customer order picking and fulfillment verification would be possible
• integration of databases from individual stages of the logistics chain with the company’s management system.

The project was divided into several phases resulting from the need to adapt the plant’s infrastructure to the requirements of the automatic identification system.
