The IT Leader competition has been organized by the editors of Computerworld for 12 years. It identifies companies and institutions that are successful in the field of computerization and is the most prestigious undertaking of its kind in Poland. According to the assumptions of the Computerworld editorial team, the competition’s formula evolves and changes just like modern IT and its role in management. Each subsequent edition is intended to reflect the current impact of IT on the business operations of enterprises. This year, according to the Jury’s criteria, the winners were those companies that, through the use of information technology, strengthened their market competitiveness through: organizational excellence, innovation, value creation through ICT, and possess consistency between their ICT strategy and the company’s business organization. The IT Leader title was awarded in the following categories: industry, finance and banking, trade and services, public sector, and in the Small and Medium-sized Enterprises IT Leader category.
The award was received from the chairman of the jury, Mr. Krzysztof Frydrychowicz, by Arkadiusz Glinka, Managing Director of Apreo Logistics, and Maciej Mrozik, Head of Developers. The distinction for Apreo Logistics is further proof of the excellence of the proprietary SWIP program, which in its original version was already awarded the “IT Leader 2003” statuette and received the “Golden Bit” award in 2002-2003.
– Entering the market in 2007, we already possessed many years of experience in the field of advanced IT solutions. The core of the SWIP system dates back to the times of the Euroad company, but its current architecture represents a significantly improved version of the program awarded 5 years earlier. Just as the business environment changes almost daily, we continuously improve and adapt our system to new conditions. There is no business process in the company that is not reflected in the integrated system. Of course, a system alone is not enough to compete effectively – we owe our achieved results to the excellent cooperation of a cohesive IT Team and professional Staff. The distinction is a great honor for us, but there is still much work ahead.
