Modeling is an approximate reproduction of the most important properties of an original. The goal of modeling complex systems is a qualitatively better understanding of the future and phenomena that may occur, as well as bringing about a preferred outcome by influencing the values of relevant parameters – Fig. 1. Complex systems that can be modeled using appropriate applications include social systems, cities, regions, enterprises, etc. Models of complex systems are built because it is impossible to describe all aspects of a system in their entirety. As the degree of system complexity increases, modeling that treats the studied object as a complex system, which can be researched by modeling the relationships and processes occurring within it, becomes increasingly important. A distinction must be made between modeling a system or the processes occurring within a system and process analysis. Analytics deals with obtaining information about systems, especially the types and quantities of components, as well as changes occurring over time.
