Another regular intermodal connection with Germany

A long-term agreement for block train coke transport in containers was signed with the German operator and railway carrier TX Logistik. The shipments have been carried out since the end of January 2010, once a week, on the Wałbrzych Fabryczny – Duisburg route and back, via the Guben/Gubin border crossing. The operator and carrier of the new connection on the German side is the company TX Logistik. The German company has also expressed interest in expanding cooperation with PKP CARGO in handling new transport volumes.

– This is already the third private operator with whom PKP CARGO carries out regular intermodal transport on the Poland – Germany route and back, and from March 2010 there will be four such operators – emphasizes Sławomir Tubek, Director of the Intermodal Transport Office at PKP CARGO.

In 2010, on the Poland – Germany route, the Company will transport over 1,500 pairs of trains in intermodal traffic together with DB Schenker and private operators on the German side.
