Leroy Merlin has entrusted Wincanton with the management of its central warehouse in Poland. The selected logistics operator is responsible for the timely delivery of top-quality products to all Polish hypermarkets of this retail chain.
In accordance with the signed two-year contract, Wincanton Trans European has been providing full logistics support for the French retail chain Leroy Merlin since September of last year. Every day, goods are dispatched from the central warehouse in Błonie near Warsaw to 16 stores in various cities across Poland. These primarily include building materials, DIY products, interior design elements, and garden products.
To meet the needs of the new client, Wincanton has reserved pallet spaces in high-bay racking systems and in blocks.
– Thanks to the project for Leroy Merlin, we are expanding our branch in Błonie. – says Mariusz Możdżyński, Project Manager at Wincanton. – We have created new jobs, expanded the office, and changed the storage structure in our warehouse – now most of the pallet spaces are located in new racks.
The warehouse expansion began in August, and the work was completed in the second half of September.
