Risk management in the logistics industry
Risk management is governed by very similar principles across all sectors of the economy. The differences only concern the types of risks that individual industries face. What does this look like in the case of the logistics services sector? As a result of progressive globalization, companies are facing increasingly complex supply chains. Customers are more willing to transfer tasks related to comprehensive logistics management to logistics operators, such as: procurement, organization of deliveries to warehouses, storage of goods, order picking, direct distribution using transshipment terminals, additional services: customs clearance, copacking, co-manufacturing, invoicing, and recently also debt collection.
